About this Dashboard

What You'll Find Here

This dashboard provides information about the relationship between basket size and revenue. Much of the data in this dashboard focuses on categorizing basket sizes in $10 increments. You can explore this data as a percentage of baskets or as a percentage of sales.

Date Limitation: This dashboard covers historical data for up to 15 months.

Getting Started

Basket Bucket: Use this filter to analyze metrics within different basket-size buckets.

Discount Bucket: This filter shows the impact of discounts on basket size and revenue. Discounts are grouped into 10% buckets.

Slice Data By Filter: This filter allows you to view some tiles by sales or by basket count.

Understanding Basket Count and Revenue

Basket count and revenue illustrates that while a particular basket size may be popular and account for the majority of baskets, it may not necessarily be the most profitable in terms of revenue. You can use this data to determine which basket size is most suitable for both revenue and basket count within the selected market.

Basket Size Details

This visualization breaks down each basket group into the average item price and the number of items per basket. It helps you understand the relationship between these two metrics along with the basket size.

Over Time and Overall Percentage Performance

Use Distribution of Basket Size Over Time to examine trends in basket size as a percentage of sales or a percentage of baskets. If there are too many lines on the graph, try clicking to remove lines you don’t wish to see (or hold ALT+click to show only a single line).

The pie chart, Total Baskets, takes the total data and displays it as a distribution to help visualize the difference between each type of basket.

Basket Size and Discounts

How Do Promotions Affect Sales?

The goal of promotions is to drive more sales volume. Use this tile to understand how discounting affects basket size. Use the filters above to see the change in the percentage of baskets or the percentage of sales.

Basket Distribution (Raw Data)

The raw data in this tile is the data that creates the visualizations above. It is presented here in table form for you to download and analyze on your own if you wish.

If there is a particular visualization or analysis you find useful, please reach out to your customer success representative so that we can add this to the tiles for you!
